Managing Director
Stuart joined Tylers Consultancy in 2005 and became Managing Director in 2013 when Michael Edwards, Tylers' founder retired. Stuart is responsible for the overall management, running and development of the Company.
Stuart has a strong, reliable team working alongside him who all pride themselves in providing Clients a professional and efficient service.
In 1993, Stuart graduated from university with a BSc. (Hons) degree and then headed to the Far East. He spent 4 years in Hong Kong, he was responsible for the provision of cost- management services on a variety of projects; ranging in value up to £40million. Whilst in Hong Kong he gained his Chartered Surveyor status in 1995.
Prior to joining Tylers, Stuart was a Partner of a UK based Practice for seven years and was responsible for the Project Management and Building Surveying sections.
Stuart’s 30+ years in the industry has provided him a wide spectrum of knowledge and understanding of a broad range of schemes ranging from office fit-out works, high-end residential, residential and commercial refurbishments, multi-storey car parks, medical centres and educational establishments.
Stuart is a 2nd Dan black-belt in karate, alongside training in his spare-time he enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, skiing and the outdoors.
